BIOGRAPHY
The Relocators are a 3-piece Bahraini indie/alternative/rock 'n roll band. The band formed in 2012 from a collection of earthy, fun loving, tree planting, shore cleaning rock 'n rollers who met backstage and found their crossover of appreciation for great melodic history from Motown artists, The Beatles, Elvis, Ray Charles to more modern bands such as Incubus and Pearl Jam. Their unique brand of entertainment revolves around edgy, fun, melodic guitar driven grooves, the energetic pulse of good 'ol rock 'n roll, with a little sprinkle of blues and funk. They are known to induce nostalgia and inspire spontaneous collaborations with random audience members. A Relocators performance will make you forget your worries, float on a cloud, smile and "move" - No pun intended.
The band has performed in several countries including Serbia at the Nîsville Jazz Festival in 2018, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and have had the pleasure of opening for iconic artists such as The Heavy, The Wailers and Rita Ora. The band is consistently playing and often headlining the biggest events and festivals in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
“Blues soaked delights" was how their first self titled release was described by Rolling Stone ME. Since then they went on to release their second EP 'Part Of Me' which attracted a much larger listenership, with the opening track 'Falling Up' proving to be a contagious hit on streaming platforms. Their hits including 'Love's Never Running Away' and 'Hide Me' are regularly played on radio.
In 2022, the band released their 3rd EP Titled ‘Reasons’, a funkier collection of songs revolving around a sense of lightheartedness, detachment, contentment with and acceptance of an ‘end of the world' narrative, partially inspired by the pandemic.
The band is currently working on the production of their 4th release.
